The new version of the VinFast Lux SA2.0 car was named President and got new options and a more powerful engine.
Vietnamese car manufacturer VinFast has announced a new version of the VinFast Lux SA2.0 crossover. President’s performance information appeared on Tuesday August 4th. At the moment, the brand is represented only in the Vietnamese market by three models – the Lux A2.0 sedan, the Lux SA2.0 crossover and the Fadil small hatchback. The first two models are luxury models, as they are built on licensed platforms of BMW 5 Series and BMW X5 cars. The luxury modification of the VinFast Lux SA2.0 President crossover has just been announced, and the full official presentation will take place a little later.
At the same time, there are already several official pictures on the Web, in which the car can be compared with the standard version. So, a new air intake appeared on the hood, and the brand emblem received a copper-golden hue. Wheels, roof rails, front bumper decorative elements and glass edging will receive the same shade.
The interior of the car is still kept secret, but it is possible that it will receive elements from carbon fiber. The main novelty will be the appearance of a new power plant – instead of the classic 2.0-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 228 hp. it will use a 6.2-liter V8 engine capable of delivering 455 hp. at 624 Nm of torque.
This has not been officially announced, but most likely this power unit is manufactured by General Motors. It is also possible that an all-wheel drive version will appear. The new top version should be released in a limited edition, and its cost will be known after the official presentation.
Earlier it became known that BMW cars will receive support for the Android Auto functionality. Previously, BMW infotainment complexes were combined only with Apple CarPlay. The updated functionality is expected to be available this fall.
