Yamaha celebrates the 20th anniversary of the superbike R6 with a new liveryJune 20, 2019
This is the only motorcycle in a similar coloring and it will belong to the winner of the lottery among the Japanese fans of R6. The draw must be held on June 28, reports the British edition Morebikes.
When the first R6 was shown to the public at the end of 1998, it became a landmark model in the development of the racing 600-cc class. A year after the presentation, Jörg Touhert won the Supersport 600 World Championship at Yamaha, and the R6 was recognized as a symbol of time. The jubilee superbike will go to the person whose data will be raffled off in the lottery, and then he will pay almost $ 14,500 for the one-of-a-kind R6 20th Anniversary.
From a technical point of view, there are no changes in the presented instance – 118.4 hp and 61.7 Nm of torque from an inline four-cylinder engine. Weight sportbike is only 190 kg.
Although this is not the official Yamaha model (yet), the design of the motorcycle from GK Dynamics (who invented the original R6 red and white livery) was very positively received. Therefore, there is a chance that someday the official model will look like this.
