This is the second model of a promising Chinese startup. The first was the Xpeng G3 electric crossover, equipped with a lot of equipment for autonomous movement.
Xpeng Motors introduced its second “battery” model to the home market – the Xpeng P7 sedan. The cost of basic configurations of the new electric car is 240,000 and 270,000 yuan. Such sedans get one 267-horsepower electric motor located on the rear axle. With its help, the rear-wheel drive sedan will be able to disperse to 100 kph in 6.7 seconds. A battery with a capacity of 80.87 kW • h provides a good power reserve: 550 and 650 kilometers on the NEDC cycle.
The most equipped electric sedan receives two motors and an all-wheel drive system. The power of the power plant reaches 430 horsepower, thanks to which the electric car is gaining a 100 kph in just 4.3 seconds. 550 kilometers will travel on one charge, and its cost will increase to 370,000 yuan.
The first commercial vehicles will fall into the hands of customers in the second quarter of next year. According to the assurances of the developers, 10 minutes of fast charging is enough to drive 120 kilometers. It will be possible to recharge from 30 percent to 80 in just 28 minutes.
Inside the car there is a virtual dashboard with a 10.25-inch display and a 14.97-inch main screen – they are visually combined. Also new is its own OS Xmart OS, which interacts with artificial intelligence and can be updated “over the air.” In addition, the Xpeng P7 sedan, which has already been called the Chinese Tesla, gets XPilot 3.0 autopilot, the innovative XUI (Xpeng User Interface), which can recognize faces and facial expressions, and also tracks the direction of your gaze and answers questions.
