Xiaomi folding electric bike raised 3000% of the required amount on crowdfundingJuly 3, 2020
Xiaomi continues to expand the range of branded electric vehicles. On the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, a new product of the techno giant partner company, the HIMO Z20 electric bike, has launched. Its features are a decent maximum speed, range of up to 80 kilometers and the ability to fold the case in two places at once for transportation and storage.
Thanks to its design, the novelty weighing 21.6 kilograms easily fits in the trunk of a car and does not take up much space at home or in the office. The process of putting a folded bicycle into “combat readiness”, according to the manufacturer, takes no more than 10 seconds.
Xiaomi electric bike HIMO Z20 is equipped with a six-speed transmission of the Japanese company Shimano – its maximum speed is 25 kilometers per hour. The bike has two riding modes (regular and sporty), and the IPX7-protected case allows you to ride even in the rain without fear of damage to the electronics.
On the steering column is a display informing about the speed, distance traveled and the remaining battery charge with a capacity of 10 Ah, located in the frame of the bicycle. The claimed range of the model’s mileage is up to 80 kilometers, a full “charging” of the battery from the outlet will take 5 hours. Another feature of the model was the tire inflation air pump built into the seat rack.
HIMO Z20 bike is already available for pre-order on the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform for the price of $ 699. The novelty has already raised over $ 310,000 in investment, with $ 10,000 initially requested to start production. The first deliveries of the electric bike will begin in August this year.
