With a hybrid setup, the Mercedes-AMG GLS and GLE 63 are even more powerfulNovember 29, 2019
The power of each model far exceeds the mark of 600 horsepower. The AMG version can also be determined by appearance.
Now the cars of Mercedes-AMG GLE and GLS 63S 4MATIC + are equipped with a hybrid power plant. The cars are powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo AMG eight-cylinder engine delivering 610 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque, as well as a 48-volt soft-hybrid EQ Boost system, providing an additional 21 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque at necessary. The same system performs a number of other useful functions.
Even despite the rather large weight, both models develop decent speed and acceleration. From 0 to 100 km / h, the seven-seat GLS accelerates in 4.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km / h. Acceleration of GLE to “hundreds” is 3.8 seconds with a “maximum speed” of 280 km / h.
Both models are equipped with a nine-speed automatic transmission, air suspension and a fully variable all-wheel drive system capable of transmitting torque at the right time to where it is most needed.
The AMG version can also be identified by the modified grille and other body elements.
Each car has seven driving modes, active cruise control and optional ceramic brakes on the GLE. All this gives maximum riding comfort and ensures the best safety.
The interior is made in the classic style of modern Mercedes-Benz cars, but the steering wheel is from AMG. Thus, a person will definitely not forget what is in a sports SUV.
