Will the McLaren 600LT from Hennessey studio overtake the Porsche 911 GT2 RSMarch 12, 2020
As part of a demonstration of the capabilities of the tuned British coupe McLaren 600LT from Hennessey, the representatives of the latter staged a race between him and the German coupe Porsche 911 GT2 RS, which is in stock condition.
The new video, published by the guys from the tuning company Hennessey, demonstrates the capabilities of the upgraded British McLaren 600LT coupe. The German Porsche 911 GT2 RS was chosen as an opponent, which loses to the Briton in both races. First, cars compete from the starting line, and then they accelerate at a speed of 56 km / h.
The tuning kit includes a more efficient exhaust system and a number of engine ECU settings. The video does not reveal the resulting power, but this figure should be higher than the standard 592 horsepower (620 Nm).
Porsche no longer produces the GT2 RS, but the car still offers impressive specs compared to the latest supercars. Compared with the regular McLaren 600LT, the German coupe is clearly the winner – 690 hp. (750 Nm).
The upgraded Hennessey 600LT wins this time thanks to its extra power. In the first race, Porsche is ahead for a couple of seconds, but McLaren begins to catch up with it due to its additional power. In the second race – the race starts at a speed of 56 km / h, the Porsche coupe loses most of its advantage. The pair initially remains next to each other, but McLaren still begins to move forward. But we must pay tribute to the stock GT2 RS – he does not even think much behind.
