Will the Lamborghini Urus crossover be able to overtake its powerful brothers – Huracan and Aventador?August 10, 2020
Enthusiasts from the CarWow YouTube channel decided to find out who will be faster in the race in a straight line – the mid-size Lamborghini Urus crossover or two powerful coupes – the Huracan Performante and the Aventador SV.
Currently, the model range of the Italian automaker – Lamborghini, consists of the Urus crossover, as well as two coupes – the Huracan and the Aventador. The CarWow YouTube team decided to host a speed race between the three Lamborghinis. It is worth noting that the Huracan in the Performante version and the Aventador in the more powerful SV version took part in the race.
In the first three runs, the trio fought in the sprint for the standard quarter mile or 402 meters.
In the first two of them, the test driver of the high-performance Aventador SV was able to get ahead, accelerating quite strongly, leaving the other two competitors behind. Meanwhile, the Huracan driver had such a bad start that the Urus crossover actually beat him for quite some time.
In the third race, the Huracan driver finally got a good start and, thanks to this, almost caught up with the Aventador SV in the first few hundred meters. What’s more, the less powerful Huracan soon raced past the Aventador, aided by the fact that it is lighter and its dual-clutch transmission shifts much faster than the Aventador’s. The Huracan covered the quarter mile in 10.7 seconds, the Aventador in 10.8 seconds and the Urus in 11.5 seconds.
The video ended with a couple of rental races and a braking test.
