It is reported that the French novelty can get the same platform as the German, all-electric Porsche Taycan sedan.
According to a foreign publication, the guys from the French Bugatti are going to present an electric sedan by 2023, which will be based on an elongated platform, on which the German Porsche Taycan is built.
It is assumed that the new four-door Bugatti will be named Royale and will widely use carbon fiber to minimize the overall weight.
While the length of the German Taycan sedan is about 4.85 meters, the premium car from France is said to be “much longer”. According to insiders, the latter will stretch more than 5 meters.
As for the appearance of the novelty, the publication continues to mention that the electric car from Bugatti will use some elements from recent models of the brand, such as Chiron, but with some retro inserts inspired by the original Type 41 of the distant 1920s. About the interior of the car is unknown, but it is safe to say that it will be luxurious.
While the Porsche Taycan offers more than 600 horsepower, the upcoming Bugatti Royale is set to provide an indicator somewhere around 870 hp. thanks to three electric motors. It is likely that the electric vehicle will receive a four-wheel drive system, solid-state batteries and the ability to autonomous driving the 4th level.
