Will Alfa Romeo unveil a 620-horsepower version of the Giulia sedan in June?January 23, 2020
It became known that in addition to a completely new model, this summer, the Italian brand will present a more powerful version of the Giulia sedan. The presentation is scheduled for June 24 this year. Power news will be 620 hp
Just yesterday it became known about the plans of the Italian Alfa Romeo to introduce a new model in June this year to mark the company’s 110th anniversary. The article, originally published by the Italian edition of Motori Online, said that a small crossover will become a novelty. A couple of minutes ago it became known that the presentation planned for June may have something to do with the Giulia sedan, namely its more powerful version.
According to insiders, Alfa Romeo will present a higher-performance Gran Turismo Alleggerita for Giulia – this version of the machine will be more powerful than the current Quadrifoglio.
It is argued that the new power will be 505 hp, which the Giulia sedan in the high-performance Quadrifoglio boasts up to 620 hp. Torque indicators are not currently known, but we expect a significant increase in torque from the current 600 Nm.
The Giulia GTA is supposedly available exclusively with the ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. It is unclear whether this will be rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, but the report says the car will lose some weight to match its Alleggerita designation (which means “lightweight”). According to rumors, we are talking about reducing weight by 20 kilograms.
The presentation of Giulia GTA will take place on June 24 at a special event organized in Milan (Italy).
