Who will win the tug of war, Mercedes-AMG G 63, Bentley Bentayga or Porsche Cayenne?August 25, 2019
Carwow’s YouTube channel compared the new Mercedes-AMG G 63, Porsche Cayenne Turbo and Bentley Bentayga Speed in tug of war. Powerful gasoline engines, road tires, a green British lawn and … an unexpected ending to the video.
In dynamics on a hard surface, VAG crossovers designed on the MLB platform have no equal: both the Cayenne Turbo and the Bentley Bentayga W12 are faster than the new Mercedes-AMG G 63. But on the ground, things could be different. First, the “charged” Mercedes-AMG G 63 threw the third-generation Cayenne Turbo glove, and then the world’s fastest SUV in terms of maximum speed – Bentley Bentayga Speed - entered the arena.
The Mercedes-AMG G 63 has a 4.0-liter V8 with a hood of 585 horsepower and a torque of 850 Nm under the hood. The most powerful Gelendvagen weighs 2560 kilograms. A Porsche Cayenne Turbo with a similar volume turbo engine is 300 kilograms lighter, inferior in power to 35 horsepower, and in torque – 80 Nm.
The Bentley Bentayga Speed drives the 6.0-liter W12 with a 635 horsepower output (900 Nm of torque). Bentayga is 70 kilograms lighter than Mercedes-AMG G 63.
Outside the asphalt, the frame Mercedes-AMG with the possibility of forcibly locking all three differentials feels more confident than the Porsche, but in the person of the Bentley Bentayga Speed Mercedes-AMG G 63 got a tough nut.
