What will be the new version of the luxury limousine Mercedes-Maybach S-Class?December 19, 2019
Judging by the “spy” photos, the German novelty of the executive class will receive retractable door handles. The standard S-Class will debut in 2020 and will go on sale as the new 2021 model year. A more luxurious performance of the same car from Maybach will be presented in a few months.
German carmakers are currently testing a prototype Mercedes-Maybach S-Class limo in cool Sweden, and these spy shots let us see how the tests go. The photographs clearly show the retractable door handles of the car. You can also notice the huge size of the false radiator grille with an array of vertical slats.
The pictures show that both versions of the same model will be available with retractable door handles. Black panels on the doors hide them in some of these photographs, but a few images provide a good close-up, and we can examine these elements in more detail.
It is worth noting that the novelty of the executive class will receive an even more chic interior than before. The picture shows the interior of the usual Mercedes-Benz S-Class, there is no doubt that the more expensive Maybach sedan will have more luxurious decoration materials. The driver looks at a large, landscape-oriented digital dashboard. Another display is in the middle of the center console. The array of buttons at the bottom of the monitor will most likely function as “shortcuts” for the various sections of the menu.
Rumor has it that the updated S-Class sedan will be available with an upgraded version of the 6.0-liter V12 Twin-Turbo powertrain. Expect this large engine to be exclusive to the most expensive, luxurious versions of the model – such as Maybach.
