What the Mercedes E-Class All-Terrain 4×4² with 420 mm clearance is capable ofAugust 28, 2018
The company Mercedes-Benz published a video, which demonstrated the capabilities of the prototype Mercedes E-Class All-Terrain 4×4², built last year on the basis of the all-rounder E-Class. The car is equipped with a new suspension, specially designed wheel gearboxes and a gasoline turbo V6, which is not available for a conventional road car.
Most of the changes in the Mercedes E-Class All-Terrain 4×4² were on the suspension: a new subframe appeared in front, the points of fastening levers and even wheels changed. After completion, the station wagon’s overall height increased to 420 millimeters. In addition, the car was equipped with 20-inch wheel disks and arches expanders, printed on a 3D printer.
This car was built last year by Mercedes-Benz engineers simply as entertainment, but with the permission of the company’s management.
