The sedan, declassified back in August, has been officially confirmed for the American car market. The novelty will have to compete with the Mercedes-AMG A35 and BMW M235i Gran Coupe.

The appearance of the new German sedan with the S3 index is expected immediately after the release of the Audi A3 2022. This model was going to be launched at the end of next year. So the new Audi S3 will reach dealerships closer to December 2021, not earlier.

During the European premiere, the sedan was equipped with a four-cylinder turbo engine of two liters, combined with a 7-speed automatic transmission with a double clutch. Quattro all-wheel drive is also obvious. But the engine power of the American version has not yet been disclosed. The global sedan shows 306 bhp For the time being, American buyers are content with a hint that the new product will be more powerful than the previous S3 sedan. This car produced 288 horses.

The novelty will be slightly lower due to the sports suspension. This will increase the performance and comfort of the car. Another useful innovation is the ventilated disc brakes, regulated by a new electric booster.

Externally, the sedan has become more aggressive, and individual elements of the exterior refer us to the RS series cars.
In the interior of the car there are sports seats with diamond stitching, as well as a couple of touchscreens: a 10.1-inch central display and a 10.3-inch virtual dashboard. The Audi Virtual Cockpit dashboard will be optionally available. There is no information yet on US pricing. Experts suggest that the sports sedan price lists will be quite competitive. The current Audi S3 in American car dealerships costs at least 43 thousand dollars

Earlier, Audi told about the appearance of three plug-in hybrids at once. With the announced novelties, the range of such cars will grow to eight. The Germans have not given any specifics yet. The automaker will probably share new details in the near future.
