What might an updated version of the Ford Thunderbird coupe look like?December 30, 2019
A talented artist who knows how to work in the Photoshop graphics editor, presented his version of the updated model. There is no data on whether brand management will revive the Ford Thunderbird again.
For 11 generations, the Thunderbird coupe has been one of the coolest in the Ford lineup. It’s very interesting what the Thunderbird 2020 model year might look like. A talented artist who knows how to work in the Photoshop graphics editor, presented his visualization on this topic.
When the Thunderbird was introduced in 1955, the luxury coupe was Ford’s coolest car on sale.
Even before the advent of the legendary Mustang sports model, Thunderbird was the company’s most athletic model at a time when all American automakers had a gentleman’s agreement not to create such cars. This ban on race cars was effectively violated by Ford during their attempt to beat the Italian Ferrari team in the 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race.
After the debut of Mustang, the Thunderbird model has become more focused on comfort. Although Mustang and Thunderbird shared the same engines and even platforms, Ford tried its best to separate the two cars, allowing them to coexist for a while. Thunderbird was a luxurious coupe that allowed you to move more comfortably, while the Mustang began to be positioned exclusively as a sports car of the American brand.
It’s hard to say whether we will ever see Thunderbird again. If Ford had any interest in this model, Thunderbird would be a fantastic name for the new electric crossover.
