Remember the rather striking LF-1 Limitless concept from the Japanese Lexus? The Japanese company introduced this huge car more than two years ago at the Detroit Auto Show. In this car, many saw the “preview” of the next-generation LX crossover. According to available data, in the automaker’s lineup, the production version of this concept will be positioned above the aging LX.
Foreign sources mention that he will “share many of his units and assemblies with the LS full-size luxury sedan,” and also receive a more powerful F-version. The latter can get a V8 twin-turbo engine with 600+ horsepower. Smaller versions of the novelty will receive a V6 twin-turbo with a capacity of 416 hp. and a 354 hp hybrid powerplant
The new LQ crossover will be positioned as a 2022 model year car, which means that it will not go on sale until next year.
The basic version is expected to cost somewhere in the region of $ 80,000r, and the most expensive version is estimated at $ 100,000. Lexus is unlikely to offer a more powerful F-version of its crossover from the first day of sales. This version of the car will compete with the German Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 and Audi RS Q8.
It is worth noting that Lexus has already received rights to use the LQ brand name, and a press release on the previously shown concept says that the car has “the potential for shaping the future flagship luxury crossover”.
