What is known about the Jeep Renegade crossover by Jeepster?August 20, 2020
According to the leaked data, the American crossover Jeep Renegade in the 2021 model year version will be available in several new versions, including the Jeepster version.
One of the participants in the foreign forum Wagoneer Fans discovered a VIN decoder published by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). This number is for a special version of the 2021 Jeep Renegade crossover.
According to this document, the new Renegade will be offered in North America by Freedom, Islander and Jeepster.
If this sounds familiar, then there is a good reason, since the first two were used on a Wrangler SUV and the Jeepster needs no introduction. This version was last used in March 2018 for a concept based on the Wrangler Rubicon. Going back in time, a concept car of the same name was introduced in 1998.
The Freedom version of the Renegade crossover is expected to have special military-themed decals on the body, just like the current Wrangler Freedom. The latter also has embroidered seats and a technical data plate in the style of military vehicle markings.
The Islander-spec Renegade subcompact SUV can be based on the mid-range Altitude trim and have the same body color choices as the 10-year-old Wrangler SUV, including Surf Blue Pearl Coat, Bright Silver Metallic Clear Coat and Brilliant Black Crystal Clear Coat.
In addition to these three special editions, the Renegade is rumored to receive an 80th Anniversary Edition, which is expected to be available across the entire Jeep range. This version is listed in the NHTSA document with both front and all-wheel drive, and will most likely be based on the Altitude or Limited trim level.
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon or an exclusive edition of the iconic SUV. The American brand has announced a new version of the Jeep Wrangler SUV, which has received the designation Rubicon Recon. The novelty, which is intended for the Australian market, will be released in a circulation of no more than 100 units. Both 2- and 4-door SUV versions will be available.
