What is known about the Ford F-150 electric pickup? First imagesFebruary 27, 2020
The official presentation of the all-electric version of the full-size Ford F-150 pickup will take place next year. In the meantime, look at the render of the novelty, which is based on the latest “spy” images of the prototype of the brand new Ford F-150.
The latest “spy” images capture a test sample of a completely new generation of the American F-150 pickup truck, and now we present a rendering of its future electric performance. As you can see, when creating the render, the artists used exactly the photo of the updated Ford F-150. Introduced electric truck F-150 was created by independent designers Drivable Designs.
Ford has officially confirmed plans to start mass production of the all-electric F-150 at the Detroit Auto Show in 2019.
“Spy” images showed that the test prototype of the car is at one of the early stages of development in Michigan (USA). It looked basically the same as the current version of the truck, except for a place to connect a charger and a bit more ground clearance, which is needed to install batteries under the cab.
The biggest hint of the electric F-150’s capabilities came last July when an American company released a video about a truck towing heavy wagons. However, the press service of the brand refused to provide details about which power plant was under the hood of the pickup.
Both the range of the novelty and its price are also unknown at the moment, but we have official data confirming that 483 km is the new minimum range for any of the future electric models of the automaker, and in particular the electric F-150.
