What engines will the 2021 Ford Bronco SUV be sold with?February 26, 2020
According to insiders, a revived American automobile legend will be offered with a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 Twin-Turbo engine. The presentation of the car will take place this spring.
Rumors of a brand new Ford Bronco began to appear back in 2016. Ford has announced the return of its iconic Bronco SUV during the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. Three years later, Bronco is finally almost introduced, although there are many details that we still don’t know about the future competitor of the Jeep Wrangler.
The presentation of the SUV is scheduled for this spring. In the meantime, we are ready to share with you new details about the new product. The foreign edition of Ford Authority cites people who are familiar with the development of the new Bronco. It is reported that the Ford Bronco 2021 model year will be offered with a 2.7-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine.
The 2.7-liter engine will be combined with Ford’s 10-speed automatic transmission. Previously, there were rumors that the long-awaited off-road novelty could receive Ford’s 2.3-liter EcoBoost with 270 horsepower, as well as the most efficient V8 engine that would be equipped with a “charged” Bronco Raptor.
Ford uses the 2.7-liter V6 in the Ford Edge ST crossover and premium Lincoln Nautilus, as well as the F-150 pickup. In the latter, this engine develops a power of 325 hp, and in crossovers, this figure is 10 horsepower more.
Ford officials insist that the new Bronco will become a real competitor to the Jeep Wrangler SUV. Well, so far it is too early to judge this. Ford says it will show off a new generation of Bronco this spring, perhaps at the New York or Detroit auto show.
