What engine will get a reborn Ford Bronco SUV?June 26, 2019
The upcoming Ford Bronco will presumably be offered with a 2.3-liter engine – this became known thanks to a new “leak” of information. The author of a visited forum first discovered this when searching for parts in a Canadian tire shop.
The revived Ford Bronco 2021 model year will not be available very soon. But on the Internet information about this car starts to appear. It is noteworthy that a part of the specification for the engine of this SUV was found on a foreign website.
It is a question of the specification “4-140” – the number 4 refers to four cylinders and 140 is the number of cubic inches, which is 2.3 liters.
In fact, the Bronco SUV using a 2.3 liter unit makes sense because this engine is offered with a Ranger pickup. Turbocharged engine develops 270 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque. Power passes through a 10-speed automatic system and enters a four-wheel drive.
Ford assures that the new Bronco will be able to overcome serious off-road. The car will receive a solid front and rear axle, as well as removable doors. The car will receive a variety of removable panels, so that passengers can enjoy riding outdoors. In addition to the 10-speed automatic transmission, rumors suggest the possibility of a 7-speed manual gearbox.
Bronco also reportedly gets a hybrid propulsion unit over time, so far there is no data on its composition or when such a variant of the model may appear.
Current information suggests that the revived Bronco debuts around mid-2020, and production presumably begins in January 2021.
