What do the BMW 3 series, X5 and X7 in the parking lot, and even in camouflage?July 16, 2018
We are not surprised at the prototype of the new flagship crossover X7, and the sedan of the family of the 3 series – after all, their official presentations should be held in the very near future, and that’s why the X5 crossover is also under the camouflage film – that’s a mystery to us!
At present, the automaker Bayerische Motoren Werke, better known as BMW, is busy working on a number of new or updated versions of existing models. Not so long ago, the updated mid-size crossover BMW X5 was officially introduced, and the revived 8 Series coupe. Well, thanks to the recently published video, we can see that a couple of models are preparing for the premiere.
Probably the most important of the new models for the automaker is the X7 crossover, which will not only become the flagship for the Bavarian brand, but it will also be the first full-size crossover in the history of BMW. In one of the spy videos, the test prototype of the novelty looks almost ready for the start of mass production.
As the main competitor to the Mercedes-Benz GLS crossover, the X7 is likely to debut before the end of this year. Depending on the market, buyers will be offered gasoline and diesel engines with a turbo, there will also be a hybrid version, but it will appear by 2020.
Meanwhile, BMW engineers are also testing the next generation of the 3 Series sedan. This new video shows that the sedan is in the earlier stages of testing compared to the same X7, as the prototype of the 4-door is still heavily disguised, despite the fact that it has already received a serial body. The updated BMW 3 Series will be slightly larger than its current version and will be built on the CLAR platform.
As a bonus, we received a prototype of the mid-size crossover BMW X5, the official presentation of which has already taken place. Perhaps the fact that the car is prepared for sale in various markets.
Recently we wrote about the fact that the BMW specialist detailed talk about the new 8 Series coupe.
