What cars do you prefer in the homeland of Ferrari?December 9, 2019
The Italian car market in November continued to grow. Local analysts have been registering positive dynamics for three consecutive months.
According to the results of the last month, the Italian car market increased by 2.2%, reaching 150 587 cars. From January to November, local motorists purchased 1,775,884 cars, which is slightly lower than the result of 2018 – a decline in demand by 0.6%. These statistics are provided by the Italian Automobile Manufacturers Association (ANFIA). It is interesting that auto sales in this region have been growing for the last three months, however, such positive dynamics will have little effect on the overall result.
Experts estimate that by the end of the year, the Italian car market will be about 1.9 million cars, which is lower than the figures recorded in 2018 or 2017.
Fiat holds the title of the most beloved brand of Italians, whose products sold 21 773 copies in the reporting month (1.6% drop in demand). This is where the “local” brands in the TOP-5 end. German Volkswagen is on the second line of the rating with the result of 14,022 cars, and the American Ford closes the “top three” – 9,996 units (+ 8.2%). Also, the “five” most sought-after automobile brands in Italy included the “French” Renault and Peugeot – 8,472 and 8,021 cars, respectively.
