Wey unveiled the Tank 300 at the Beijing Auto Show, which was prepared for active cross-country driving.
As reported CarNewsChina, the new product was not an independent variation, but a basic model with a set of factory accessories. The 7-seater car got wheel arch extensions made of unpainted plastic, power bumpers, an arc for attaching additional lighting on the front bumper and an expeditionary trunk. In addition, winches are integrated in the bumper.
The rims with beadlocks are “shod” in off-road rubber, and the suspension has got alternative springs. The only known modernization of the engine compartment is the original snorkel, possibly serving as a handrail.
The basic version of the Wey Tank 300 has a system for selecting modes of operation of the riding electronics with 9 presets, all-round cameras and the “off-road cruise” Crawl Control.
Currently, only one engine has been announced for the Wey Tank 300 – a gasoline 227-horsepower “turbo four” with a volume of 2.0 liters. Together with the engine, an 8-speed automatic transmission functions. SUV sales in China will start in December, the cost remains unknown.
In addition, it was recently reported that the cheapest equipment of the Haval H9 SUV has become available on the Russian market. It should be emphasized that a new version called “Comfort” is offered for the Chinese frame SUV.
