Weltmeister Champion will accelerate to 100 km/h in 1.8 sAugust 19, 2021
The fate of this model Weltmeister Champion is still unclear, but more details will be announced at the upcoming Chengdu Auto Show.
Chinese startup Weltmeister has demonstrated its new concept with the self-explanatory name Champion, which, according to the manufacturer, can even light up Rimac Nevera in dynamics, according to autohome.com.
Weltmeister has recently been seriously inferior to its main competitors in the person of NIO, XPeng and Li Auto, although initially this startup looked very promising in the eyes of specialists. Nevertheless, it seems that the company decided to make a loud comeback, while not with some regular electric crossover, but with a whole sports car.
Judging by the statement of the brand representatives, the Weltmeister Champion is built on the basis of the serial W6. In particular, the exterior was radically changed, aerodynamics were radically improved due to new parts, and a spoiler appeared on the trunk lid. Moreover, the chassis has undergone major revisions.
It is very significant that the car uses a highly efficient battery that is designed to meet the requirements of FIA racing. Powered by two electric motors, the Champion delivers 4WD and 816 horsepower.
At the same time, the company is especially proud that the model is capable of accelerating to 100 kilometers per hour in just 1.8 seconds, thereby surpassing the results of Rimac Nevera and Tesla Model S Plaid. Such dynamics is provided not only due to high power, but also due to special tires.
More details about the fate of the project and possible prospects will be announced at the Chengdu Auto Show, which will open its doors on August 29.
