VW spoke about the new Golf and other updatesDecember 7, 2018
Volkswagen presented a plan for the release of new products next year. This is the eighth-generation Golf, and the updated Passat, as well as many other interesting models.
During the supplier summit in Wolfsburg, Volkswagen presented a plan for new products for 2019. According to him, in the second half of the year, the eighth generation of the Golf hatchback is expected. Visitors to the event even demonstrated some kind of teaser new items.
We already know that the start of production of the new Golf is scheduled for June, but in terms of supplies to Golf customers, it appears only at the end of the year. Volkswagen intends to launch its most compact T-Cross crossover before. Then follows the release of two more new models, but in China. These will be the electric versions of the Lavida and Bora sedans, and then the e-Golf and Polo hatchbacks.
Now we have reached, perhaps, the most interesting part of the schedule, since in the second half of the year, an updated Passat should appear, intended for Europe, Russia and Brazil.
Two more interesting novelties, meaning in the Volkswagen plan, are the T-Roc Cabrio cabriolet, which is to be released simultaneously with the eighth Golf, as well as the electric car ID, which debuts are scheduled for the end of the year.
