VW published a teaser video on the flagship Arteon 2021June 23, 2020
The press service of the automaker published a teaser, which is dedicated to the flagship liftback Volkswagen Arteon. The official presentation of the German news will be held on June 24.
Volkswagen is due to unveil a new version of its five-door Arteon liftback / station wagon on June 24. A new teaser video, which was published by the automaker’s press service a couple of minutes ago, demonstrates some parts of the model’s new design. But, as befits a similar type of commercials, much is hidden from view.
Compared to the current version of the model, the new Arteon will not be much different in appearance.
Instead, Arteon will receive updated optical elements that are somewhat similar to those used in the new generation of the compact Golf model. The MIB3 infotainment system will appear in the cabin, as well as an improved semi-autonomous driving system that can control several aspects of driving – steering, acceleration and braking – up to a speed of 210 km / h.
Buyers will be offered a more powerful version of the Arteon R, but it is not clear whether it will be available in the station wagon body, or only liftback. We also do not know what power the Arteon R engine will receive. Rumors suggest that VW decided to install a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine borrowed from the Golf with 330 horsepower under the hood. The other two engines will be four-cylinder engines with a turbocharger capacity of 184 and 220 hp. respectively.
We have only a few days while VW will present the updated Arteon in the back of a liftback and station wagon. It is expected that a plug-in hybrid version of GTE will also be offered – such a performance of the model was announced in April this year.
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that the new Volkswagen Arteon Shooting Brake was noticed without camouflage. An updated version of the car should be officially presented at the end of June. However, now the novelty has been noticed without a camouflage film.
