VW introduced the updated Passat Variant wagon in the version of R-Line EditionFebruary 28, 2019
The new version of the model is called R-Line Edition and is currently available exclusively for the station wagon.
An updated version of the popular German car for the European market was introduced at the beginning of the month and is now ready to receive its first special version.
The car received four-wheel drive 4Motion, as well as powerful engines – the 2.0 TSI petrol unit with a capacity of 272 hp. or 240 hp turbo diesel 2.0 Bi-TDI
The big wagon received a new brilliant shade of Moonstone Gray, which is combined with black accents of the body and glossy black roof.
Side mirrors, side window frames, a rear roof spoiler, and a diffuser in the back complement the black theme, and 19-inch alloy wheels have a glossy black shade. In the back of the car are matrix LED lights with a black tint.
In the salon, you will immediately notice the R-Line sport seats, which use Nappa leather and what VW calls “carboxylic” leather. The R-line logo adorns the side sills in stainless steel, and the pedals are also finished in brushed stainless steel. The car received a digital dashboard, a 9.2-inch screen of the infotainment system, an Area View camera system and modern adaptive control.
VW will unveil the Passat Variant R-Line Edition wagon next week at the 89th Geneva Motor Show, where we will also see a “charged” version of the T-Roc crossover, which so far will only be shown as a concept.
