VW Buzz Cargo van for Hawk Nike to receive updateOctober 6, 2019
In 2018, the Volkswagen brand demonstrated the ID Buzzy Cargo concept at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
This year, the brand showed an updated version of the car, the debut of which will take place in New York, Chicago and Santa Monica.
If we recall the history, the van, which was released recently, Blue Ribbon Sports, was the property of the first employee of the brand Jeff Johnson. In honor of respect for this man, the model has been updated to look like a Jeff van.
In addition, the update affected Volkswagen Motorsport liveries – they were eliminated. The van received a 201 horsepower lithium-ion powerplant. The concept of rear-wheel drive is provided. In the WLTP cycle, a car can travel 547 km.
Despite the fact that this van is nothing more than a concept, VW announced that it intends to create production versions of the ID Buzzy Cargo and ID Buzzy concepts. Designers want to bring modern electronics and automated control systems to the car.
The original Nike and Blue Ribbon Sports store was located in California on 3107 Santa Monica Blvd. At this point, Nike reopened the store in the same place where the updated concept will be demonstrated on October 5th.
