Voyah i-Free concept crossover with audacious design shown in BeijingSeptember 28, 2020
The second concert car from the young luxury brand Voyah, created by Dongfeng Motor, debuted at the Beijing Auto Show. The show car was named i-Free.
Like the brand’s debut concept known as I-Land, the new crossover gets ESSA architecture and an MVP bogie. Voyah i-Free already has a production version that is actively being tested. In the home market, SUVs are expected next year. The brand is expected to offer buyers an all-electric model and a hybrid.
The crossover, shown in Beijing, surprised the audience with its original appearance. There is no traditional radiator grille: its place is taken by an air tunnel divided into two parts. The doors get a no less shocking shape due to stamping, and the roof line is emphasized by a silver overlay. By the way, many elements of external decor may not reach a serial car.
But the body shape is worth taking a closer look at. It was not possible to look into the car interior. But it is known what options the new cross will receive. This is, for example, a special face recognition technology, the ability to control individual car functions using gestures and voice, etc.
Earlier at the Beijing Motor Show, the new Chery Tiggo 8 Plus crossover was presented. Compared to the classic Tiggo 8, this car has received a large number of additional options. However, its cost will be 30% higher than that of the Tiggo 8.
