A completely new three-cylinder petrol engine with a volume of 1.5 liters with direct fuel injection technology was developed by the company’s engineers using a modular design similar to that of the four-cylinder Motors of the Drive-E family. The manufacturer notes that the design of the new three-cylinder engine is adapted for use in the plug-hybrid power plant Twin Engine. Volvo plans to release a hybrid and fully electric version of the new Volvo XC40 crossover in the future.

A new version of the Inscription, which includes 18-, 19- or 20-inch wheels, special underbody protection, chrome framed windows and a radiator grille, as well as special body colors, was added to the list of complete sets.
