Volvo will offer customers a large crossover with the XC100 index. Until that moment, the XC90 was considered the flagship. It is this model that will share with the novelty its platform, as well as the main units and nodes. The Swedes shared these plans at a special conference in Las Vegas, which was organized for local dealers. The new XC100 will be larger than its predecessor XC90: 178 mm was added to the length of the new SUV, and its width increased by 127 mm. Salon new items can accommodate six or seven passengers.
The new Volvo XC100 boasts a luxurious interior and high tech. The production of new items will be engaged in a plant in South Carolina. A large cross will only be put on the conveyor in the second half of the year 2023.
The new Volvo C40 is a compact crossover with today’s popular coupe silhouette. He will borrow the platform from the XC40, and an electric motor will be responsible for its performance. The appearance of this model should take place before the flagship XC100 – in the second half of 2021.
