Volvo introduced a new secure key fob

The new Volvo key fob makes the cars of the Swedish brand safer. This is the complete opposite of the red Dodge Hellcat key fob.

While Dodge released a red key fob that unlocks the full power of the Hellcat models, Volvo had a completely different red key that, instead of increasing engine power, allowed parents of teenage drivers to set speed limits and overspeed warnings, and limit the car stereo sound.

Since then, Volvo has changed the color and name of the key fob. The brownish orange Care Key is now standard on all 2021 Volvo models, along with a new 180 km / h speed limiter.[IP]&ua=[UA]&domain=[DOMAIN]&page=[PAGE]&secure=[SECURE]&language=[BROWSER_LANGUAGE]&bidfloor=[BIDFLOOR]&gdpr_consent=[GDPR_CONSENT]

These innovations help make all the cars of the Swedish brand, even high-performance models like the Volvo XC60 Hybrid Polestar Engineered, much safer. But what good is a safer car if the driver lacks the experience and training to avoid a collision? Well, Volvo has a plan for that too.

Volvo has teamed up with AAA to offer free access to an online driver training course on How to Drive. AAA’s 30-hour self-paced self-paced course is the most extensive online driver school available, giving student drivers more than an outdated public education. Only 60% of Americans believe that a driver’s license exam should be successfully passed, and after the pandemic, many states simply issue a driver’s license without proper road testing.

“While Volvo strives to create the safest vehicles on the road, it is equally important for everyone’s safety that the driver feels prepared and confident while driving. As we witnessed an unprecedented disruption in driver education across the country, we felt obligated to provide Volvo families with access to the best online learning platform and tools such as Care Key and AAA resources to make the roads safer for everyone, ”said Jim Nichols , Senior Product and Technology Manager, Volvo Car USA.
