Volvo has updated the flagship XC90 and added new hybridsFebruary 22, 2019
In addition to the classic update with a slight restyling and new options, the company added new electrification systems. Now the hybrid has become even more economical (by 15%).
Today, Volvo introduced the flagship model XC90 2020 model year. Along with the usual restyling of the model, which was released in 2015, the company continues to develop the electrification of the entire model range and its own technologies. Now the model will receive an even more economical version of what the portal Glasru reported with reference to the company’s press service.
With the updated XC90, the company for the first time offers its customers an advanced kinetic energy recovery system when braking. In combination with the line of existing internal combustion engines, it forms a new integrated electrified power plant with a new designation “B”.
While the company did not disclose the details of the pricing policy for the updated version, as well as a list of complete sets and a list of additional equipment. Only it is known that mass production will begin at the end of the second quarter, and the start of sales may occur in the summer of this year.
