The German automaker introduced the seventh generation Golf R in Australia in a special version of the Final Edition.
In total, it is planned to release 450 copies of the VW Golf R Final Edition, which will differ in stylistic changes and options. At dealers in Australia, the model will appear in May 2020. 150 of these cars will be even more exclusive as they gain access to the three Custom Concept colors that were previously unavailable in Australia.
Violet Touch, Victory Blue, and Viper Green shades are among the 40 paint finishes offered in the U.S. as part of the Spektrum program in 2018. Each of these paints is applied manually in a specialized factory floor before the car is sent to the final assembly.
The cost of the VW Golf R Final Edition starts at a mark of 57 990 Australian dollars (39 805 US dollars). The remaining 300 Final Edition models will be available in Pure White, Lapiz Blue, and Deep Black at no additional cost.
In addition to custom colors, standard equipment for the Golf R Final Edition includes 19-inch black Pretoria alloy wheels, glossy black mirror covers, Nappa leather seats and an upgraded Dynaudio audio system. Australian customers will be offered only a panoramic glass sunroof valued at 1,900 Australian dollars.
In the technical part, no changes are expected, as the Golf R Final Edition is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that develops 286 hp. power and torque of 380 Nm. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through a seven-speed DSG gearbox and a 4Motion AWD system.
