Volkswagen will release 250 exclusive Arteon R-Line EditionJanuary 8, 2020
Two-tone coupe-shaped sedans appear in Europe in February
Volkswagen introduced the special version Arteon R-Line Edition, focused on the European market. A batch of 250 flagships will differ from the usual five-doors with R-Line design in a unique Moonstone Gray color, rich equipment and 20-inch glossy Rosario wheels.
In addition to the trendy gray hue and exclusive ten-spoke wheels, the limited edition Arteon R-Line Edition can be identified by a partial anti-chrome package, contrasting rear view mirrors, a black roof and a spoiler. The standard equipment of the sports sedan includes Nappa leather trim, navigation system, heated front and rear seats, as well as a set of advanced active safety assistants.
Liftbacks of the R-Line Edition series will be available for order only with the most powerful two-liter turbo engines and adaptive chassis. A gasoline engine produces 190 or 280 horsepower, a diesel engine produces 190 or 240 horsepower. All versions are combined with a 7-speed “robot” DSG, front-wheel or all-wheel drive.
The limited edition Arteon R-Line Edition is expensive: prices in Germany start from 56 thousand euros for the initial front-wheel drive 190-horsepower liftback. That’s almost 3,200 euros more expensive than the price of the more powerful all-wheel drive 245-horsepower Audi A5 Sportback in the S-Line package.
