Volkswagen unveils updated Golf Variant and AlltrackSeptember 9, 2020
Volkswagen Corp. showed the new Golf Variant and Alltrack of the 2021 model year.
Compared to the outgoing Golf Variant, the newest car has become longer and now its dimensions are as follows: length is 4.63 meters, and the size of the wheelbase is 2.68 meters. In addition, the trunk volume has increased from 605 to 611 liters.
The updated Golf Variant, in particular, was equipped with a rear door with a hands-free opening function and a trunk, where there are hooks for bags and fastening rings, and two more power outlets for 12 and 230 volts
The new Golf Variant engine range has not changed and will therefore be available with petrol and diesel engines. And the upcoming Golf R Variant, which is currently under development, will be offered with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine and all-wheel drive system.
As for the new 2021 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack, it repeats the shape of the Variant model, while it has high ground clearance and has 4Motion all-wheel drive system by default. The Golf Alltrack also features black plastic lining throughout the body for a more rugged look. The Alltrack interior has slightly changed, but there is still the characteristic embroidery on the seat backs. In particular, the Golf Alltrack will be offered with a wide engine range.
In Europe, sales of the Golf Variant and Alltrack will start this year, and in other countries, new items will be released in 2021.
