Volkswagen unveils ID.4 electric crossover designAugust 28, 2020
Volkswagen Corporation on Thursday, August 27, published new images of the cross ID.4. The release of the new model has already started, and its debut will take place in September.
In turn, the German manufacturer said that the drag coefficient of the upcoming cross will be only 0.28.
Crossover ID.4, like the hatchback ID.3 already on sale, is built on the MEB architecture. As noted, initially the novelty will be offered in a rear-wheel drive variation, and the appearance of an all-wheel drive modification is expected later. The cruising range will be more than 500 km according to the WLTP standard.
Information about motors is available only for the PRC: there the electric car will be available with one 204-horsepower electric motor. German cross will be offered to Chinese customers in two versions, which will receive different rear bumpers and lights, as well as a different design of the front part. It should be emphasized that in addition to the PRC, the novelty will be offered on the American and European markets.
In addition, it was recently noted that specialists from the Czech automaker Skoda are working on updating the Volkswagen Passat. It should be emphasized that the appearance of a new generation model is not expected until 2023.
