Volkswagen unveils America’s unique, attractive Arteon sports prototypeJune 10, 2021
Volkswagen has presented a very unique concept. It is not only a modified version of its flagship model, but also the new Volkswagen Arteon Big Sur concept with a reimagined aesthetic configuration created with an elaborate vinyl covering.
Volkswagen North America has a design department that develops its own versions for this market. For example, the Basecamp off-road options or the packages with the Volkswagen Atlas and the future Taos.
The attractive green Volkswagen Arteon in these photos is original and somewhat unusual for the German concern. The American division of the brand has just unveiled the new Volkswagen Arteon Big Sur concept. This model tries to pay homage to the California coastline with some pretty bold colors. The refinement of the model became a real novelty. the body has changed. It is unpainted but covered with vinyl. Even the door frames were covered with it.
The result is a very eye-catching and vibrant copy of Arteon thanks to the Green Forest vinyl that looks like a paint job.
Craftsmen have added a new body kit that includes a front splitter, side skirts and a rear spoiler. These elements were created specifically for this prototype, so they are not currently available at the brand’s dealerships.
This concept is based on the Arteon SEL Premium R-Line. In addition to the aforementioned body elements, it also features a lowered suspension scheme and new 20-inch Rotiform TUF-R wheels with a glossy black finish. Don’t expect a serial version of this model. Its only purpose is to act as a show car and occupy the media space.
