Volkswagen Tiguan budget analogue sales startedMay 6, 2020
This is a crossover Roewe RX5 Plus. The novelty turned out to be very stylish and can confidently start in the car market of China.
In China, sales of the new mid-size crossover Roewe RX5 Plus have started. This became known on Wednesday, May 6. Externally, the car is much like a Volkswagen Tiguan crossover. This is explained by the fact that the chief designer of the brand worked for several years in a row in a German concern. The RX5 Plus version has become an upgraded model of the RX 5.
From the exterior, we note a completely redesigned grille, other headlamps and upgraded taillights. Also, the developers slightly changed the design of the bumpers. The engine range of the car consists of two power plants. The base will be a 1.5-liter engine with 169 hp.
The more powerful version has a 2.0-liter engine capacity and can produce 220 hp. A 6-speed manula transmission or a 6-speed“robot” with two clutches is offered as a gearbox. Four-wheel drive is not even an option.
Of the technical equipment, we note ABS, EBD systems, a tire pressure sensor, 2-zone climate control and electrically adjustable front seats. Inside, we note the presence of a multimedia system with a huge vertical 14.1-inch screen, as well as a panoramic roof. The cost of the starting configuration will be 122,800 yuan, and dealers ask for 139,800 yuan for the maximum configuration.
