Volkswagen Tayron X Coupe Crossover Launch Date LaunchedApril 6, 2020
Serial production of a new car of the German brand will begin very soon.
On Monday, April 6, the German company Volkswagen shared its plans for the debut of the new Volkswagen Tayron X coupe-like crossover. Series production will start at the joint Volkswagen and FAW plant in May. And Tayron X will get to authorized dealers this summer. The car will be located in the lineup one step above the Tiguan model.
The length of the cross-coupe is 4,626 mm with a wheelbase of 2,730 mm, the width reaches 1,860 mm, and the height is 1,662 mm. The main difference from the classic Tayron is the coupe-like body shape. We also note the presence of a special R-Line body kit and a large rear spoiler.
Buyers will be offered to choose from two power plants – the base will be a 2.0-liter turbo engine with a return of 186 hp. The second version of the same engine is boosted to 220 hp. As the transmission uses a 7-band “robot” DSG.
In the basic configuration, the machine is equipped with front-wheel drive, and for a surcharge, all-wheel drive modification is possible. Among the safety systems, we will distinguish adaptive cruise control and collision avoidance systems and blind spot monitoring. Tayron X received a virtual dashboard and a modern multimedia system with a large screen, LED optics and all-round cameras. In the maximum version, the car is equipped with a panoramic roof. Car prices have not yet been announced. Classic Volkswagen Tayron in picking R-Line is estimated at 201,900 yuan
