Volkswagen T-Roc gets Black EditionMay 24, 2020
The compact SUV gets an optional kit, black exterior details and a rear protective glass.
T-Roc follows in the footsteps of the recently introduced Touareg Black Edition. Volkswagen has unveiled a new trim for its T-Roc, bringing black-style details and modernized equipment to the popular SUV. This package, dubbed the Black Edition, is based on the mid-range SE trim, with prices starting at £ 23,750 for the 1.0-liter 113-horsepower TSI.
The Black Edition features a dark finish for the T-Roc grille, mirror housings, roof arches and exhaust pipes. Details also apply to 18-inch alloy wheels T-Roc. In addition, each car acquires a rear windshield and what Volkswagen describes as an “attractive” new sticker on the rear pillar. Also added LED headlights.
Inside, Black Edition buyers can expect “black pianos” on the dashboard, black roof trim, leather gear knob, multi-function sports steering wheel with contrasting gray stitching, as well as white lighting and leg lights.
As with the rest of the T-Roc series, the Black Edition can be ordered with Vienna leather upholstery, Beats speakers and sports suspension, which are available as additional options. Other standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, as well as folding mirrors with electric heating and built-in lights for puddles, transferred from the SE version.
The Black Edition T-Roc is available exclusively with front-wheel drive. Customers can choose one of four options for power plants, which include 1.0- and 1.5-liter TSI gasoline engines and 1.6- and 2.0-liter TDI diesel engines producing 113 liters .with. and 148 hp respectively.
