The German company announced new details about the compact crossover T-Cross, which premiered in the fall at the Paris Motor Show
The company Volkswagen has published the next teasers, and also reported some details about the new compact crossover T-Cross. The premiere of the model will be held in autumn 2018 at the Paris Motor Show, and its sales will begin next spring.
The novelty is based on the modernized modular platform MQB, which allowed to significantly push forward the front axle, which increased the free space in the cabin and luggage compartment.
The size of the trunk will be 455 liters – the company claims that this is the maximum figure in this segment. And with a fully folded back row, its capacity increases to 1281 liters, which should be enough to take on board equipment for hockey, bicycle or snowboards.
According to preliminary data, the engine line will include three-cylinder supercharged units with a working volume of one liter with a capacity of 95 and 110 hp. Transmission – a six-speed manual or robotic transmission with two clutches. In addition, the scale will include a 150-horsepower 1.5-liter turbo four, and two 1.6-liter diesel with a capacity of 95 and 115 hp.
The standard equipment of the crossover will include a system to prevent frontal collisions and the function of observing the number of movements. As an option will be available fully digital dashboard, multimedia complex with an eight-inch touch screen, and a wireless charging station for the smartphone.
