Volkswagen showed the flagship Trinity electric carJanuary 21, 2021
It is possible that the new Trinity electric car of the German company Volkswagen will debut by the end of 2021.
The line of Volkswagen electric cars by the end of the year should be replenished with another model, as said by Volkswagen CEO Ralf Brandstätter. At the moment, the flagship electric car is called Project Trinity (Trinity), and the documents say it is “a concept of a high-performance car with an iconic design.”
The Volkswagen Trinity is most likely part of the Artemis project, which was launched by Audi CEO Marcus Duisman in 2020. Volkswagen, like Audi, is going to develop a highly efficient electric car, which will be based on the evolutionary platform MEB, which has already become the basis for the serial ID.3 and ID.4.
The new architecture is one of the three main pillars of the project, while the other two include a radical approach to car development and autonomous driving based on a neural network. The new electric car will be able to provide level 2+ autonomy, with the possibility of upgrading to Level 4 At the moment
Volkswagen Trinity was shown in the only teaser image in which it is additionally covered with a veil. The body of the model is similar to a flattened hatchback in the style of a Volkswagen Golf.
