Volkswagen has organized the presentation of an electric variant of the Tharu crossover, which is intended exclusively for the Chinese market.
The novelty, called e-Tharu, did not receive external changes, while it acquired an electric motor with a capacity of 134 hp. and 290 Nm of torque, as well as a battery with a capacity of 44.1 kW / h, providing a range of up to 315 km on an inaccurate NEDC cycle. However, VW notes that at a constant speed of 60 km / h, the model can travel up to 415 km on a single charge.
The e-Tharu electric car can accelerate to 50 km / h in 3.7 seconds and accelerate to a maximum of 150 km / h. As for the interior of the electric car, there is no digital dashboard, while there is a new air conditioning system. In turn, the sensor module, which gives the “tidy” a more modern look, is borrowed from the latest models of the German company, such as the Tiguan and Arteon.
Speaking of the cost of the e-Tharu, this electric compact crossover will have to pay at least 194,800 yuan.
In addition, it was recently noted that the new Volkswagen Tayron has become the brand’s best-selling car. It should be emphasized that this car of the German auto concern debuted two years ago. Despite this, the car is still popular with customers.
