Volkswagen revealed the design of the new generation JettaDecember 13, 2017
The German brand published official images of the exterior and interior of the new four-door sedan.
The world premiere of the Volkswagen Jetta next generation will be held at the Detroit Motor Show, which will open in January 2018. The exterior of the sedan is made in the brand’s new corporate style: the body has more sharp lines, the grille was made like the flagship sedan VW Arteon, and the tail lights – based on the four-door sedan Virtus.
The salon is also completely new. In top-end versions, the Jetta will receive a digital “device”, which is visually combined with a large touch screen multimedia system. A similar solution is in the hatch VW Polo of the latest generation.
The new Jetta is built on the MQB platform. According to preliminary data, the engine line of the American version of the model will include a gasoline turbocharged 4-cylinder engine 1.4 TSI with a capacity of 150 hp. The engine will be combined with a six-speed manual or an eight-band automatic gear.
In the US, sales of new items are likely to begin in the second half of 2018.
