Volkswagen presented the updated crossover TouaregAugust 27, 2020
The new Touareg has retained the appearance of its predecessor, but the set of options and the power plant have received an update.
Volkswagen presented an updated version of its Touareg SUV. The main innovation was the change in the engine – now a modified 2.0-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 245 hp acts as a power plant. The engine works in tandem with 8-speed automatic tranmission and all-wheel drive system.
Due to the modernization of the engine, it was possible to significantly reduce gasoline consumption – even with high power, the average fuel consumption per 100 kilometers should not exceed 8 liters. They decided to keep the other two power units – thus, buyers can purchase the Touareg with a 3.0-liter 340-horsepower petrol engine and a 3.0-liter diesel engine capable of producing 249 hp.
The car also received additional options – the system for preventing frontal and side collisions became smarter, and the adaptive cruise control received new operating modes.
