In addition to changes in design, the new crossover has become safer, thanks to advanced technologies.

The German company has officially unveiled a restyled version of its compact Tiguan crossover. The novelty received a more recent design and the latest equipment, which affected the level of car safety. Visually, the new Tiguan has much in common with the latest Golf.

The crossover received upgraded LED headlights and taillights, a large radiator grille, the inscription “TIGUAN” on the trunk lid and a revised bumper with increased air vents.

The Tiguan will be available in four trim levels: S, SE, SE R-Line and SEL R-Line. In addition, third-row seats and an all-wheel drive system will be available as an option for SE models and above.

In the basic version of S, the novelty has standard 17-inch wheels, in the SE modification the size will increase to 18 inches, and the SE R-Line crossover received 19-inch wheels, as well as several darkened trim elements. In addition, the SEL R-Line gets 20-inch wheels and a range of features. Tiguan also offers two new exterior color options for the 2022 model year: Oryx White and Kings Red.

The main changes occurred in the interior of Tiguan 2022. The crossover is equipped with a new multi-function steering wheel, as well as an updated center console, which houses an updated touch screen. The model has the latest infotainment system MIB3, as well as a digital instrument cluster.

In the “base”, the crossover has a fabric finish, and the SE and SE R-Line models received faux leather upholstery in four color options: Titan Black, Storm Gray, Cinnamon and Horizon. In the SE R-Line modification, the crossover has genuine leather seats in four color options: Titan Black, Storm Gray, Noisette and Barrell Craft.

Also new for 2022 is the VW Travel Assist Security Kit. Thanks to features such as adaptive cruise control with stop and drive functions, as well as assistance in maintaining lanes, the equipment is available as an option on the base Tiguan, but is standard on mid-range models.

The new Tiguan is powered by a 2.04-liter turbocharged engine with 184 horsepower and 300 Newton meters of torque. European buyers will get the hot Tiguan R with a power of 315 hp, as well as a more efficient interchangeable hybrid with a power of 241 hp

Sales of the new Volkswagen Tiguan in the European market will start next month.
