Volkswagen is preparing to debut a new crossover TacquaAugust 20, 2019
The novelty, which is a converted version of the Volkswagen T-Cross, is waiting for the Middle Kingdom car market. The other day, VW Tacqua was completely declassified on the website of the Chinese Ministry of Industry.
The Ministry of Industry of China showed official photos of the new compact cross-country Volkswagen Tacqua, whose appearance in the Chinese car market is expected in the near future. Along the way, the Ministry of Industry revealed the main technical characteristics of the new product. And all this until the official premiere for which Volkswagen is preparing today. It is known that Tacqua will get on the conveyor of a joint venture between FAW and Volkswagen. The novelty is a turned version of the VW T-Cross, which is already sold in China. This model, by the way, is produced at another factory – SAIC-Volkswagen.
Unlike its “donor”, the novelty has become more compact and has acquired a redesigned exterior: new bumpers, modernized optics, as well as an off-road body kit that relies on top-end modifications. But in the car interior, no major changes are expected.
The motor range of the novelty included a 113-horsepower aspirated one and a half liter, combined with a 6-speed manual transmission, and a 1.4-liter turbo engine with a return of 150 horsepower, working in tandem with a seven-speed “robot”. There is no all-wheel drive even for a surcharge, but the list of available options is quite wide: adaptive cruise control, multimedia with a large touchscreen, frontal collision avoidance system, leather interior, panoramic sunroof, 18-inch alloy wheels, etc.
On sale in the Chinese market Volkswagen Tacqua will appear before the end of 2019. The cost of new items, according to preliminary data, will start at 128,800 yuan
