Volkswagen introduced the “charged” version of the updated ArteonJune 25, 2020
There were very few references to the modification of the R during the presentation of the standard version of the new Arteon. Now this car is fully revealed.
Volkswagen spoke in detail about the “charged” modification of the updated Arteon liftback. The novelty received the R index. Thus, a powerful version of the Arteon joined the T-Roc R and Touareg R. The main thing in this car is its engine – under the hood is a 2.0-liter TSI turbo engine capable of delivering 320 hp. In terms of return, the difference with the standard version of the Arteon is not so great, since it has a power of 280 hp.
However, the new Arteon R has a special R-Performance Torque Vectoring system that distributes power between the rear wheels depending on the speed of the car. This provides better driving dynamics and increased driving comfort. Volkswagen representatives have not yet announced the dynamics of the new car, but it promises to be significantly better than the classic Arteon, which is capable of accelerating to 100 km / h in 5.6 seconds.
Externally, the car is distinguished by a spoiler on the trunk, four exhaust pipes, blue brake calipers and large rims with an original design.
The car’s interior has also been slightly modernized. He received special sports seats with increased comfort, carbon fiber inserts and wide paddle shifters. The cost will be announced closer to the start of sales.
