Volkswagen introduced the budget cross-wagon C-TrekDecember 8, 2019
The basis for the C-Trek was the small family car Volkswagen Bora of the previous generation.
Volkswagen began selling the updated C-Trek cross-wagon. New items were launched at Volkswagen and FAW in China. After the upgrade, the model acquired an off-road protective body kit, massive wheel arch extensions and a redesigned radiator grill. Also new to rely on increased ground clearance and a rich list of options.
The length of the cross-wagon reaches 4,559 mm, the width is 1,793 mm, the height is 1,487 mm, and the wheelbase here is 2,614 mm. Trunk volume varies from 589 to 1,507 liters, depending on the position of the rear seats.
The C-Trek engine range was borrowed from the “donor” Volkswagen Bora: a 1.6-liter 110-horsepower aspirated and a 1.4-liter 131-horsepower turbo engine. Both of them work in conjunction in a five-speed “automatic”, and a turbocharged engine can be combined with a “robot”. Drive – non-alternative front.
Already in the database, such an off-road station wagon receives two airbags, air conditioning, foglights, an electric drive and heated outside mirrors, 16-inch wheels, an audio system, etc. The top versions have side airbags, a multi-function steering wheel, multimedia with a large touchscreen, and seats with heated parking sensors, 17-inch wheels and much more. At Chinese car dealerships, C-Trek prices start at 125,900 yuan. The most equipped cars will cost 162,900 yuan. Whether the novelty will go beyond the Middle Kingdom, there is no information yet.
Meanwhile, the Volkswagen experiment with the new Jetta brand was recognized as successful. Two new products from the new sub-brand sold in good circulation in China.
