Volkswagen ID.4 is almost ready for mass productionFebruary 14, 2020
This conclusion can be drawn from the new spy photos from races. On them, the car was seen almost without camouflage.
The official presentation of the Volkswagen ID.4 electric crossover is due to take place in April at the New York Auto Show. This became known at the end of January, when the car was spotted on a road test with a decent layer of camouflage. Now, the new electrocross was seen almost without camouflage, which indicates its readiness for the start of mass production. In new photographs, you can consider a number of features – the grille in the front part is most likely a decoration, and we will not see it in the series. When the car was in black, it was hard to pay attention to. The chrome strip in the front is stylishly integrated and is a kind of continuation of the headlights.
Also in the white version, the design of the roof and the glazing line draws even more attention – the developers managed to achieve the desired effect.
According to preliminary data, the ID.4 cabin turned out to be very spacious – there will be more space in it than in the Tiguan crossover. According to insiders, the car will be driven by two electric motors with a return of 101 and 201 hp. respectively. When using a 83 kWh battery, the cruising range is about 400 km.
